Professor Naomi Goldenberg lecture in Bloomsbury to be 'tweetcast'
Professor Naomi Goldenberg (University of Ottawa) gives her public lecture in London on Thursday 26 April 2012, as part of her short tour in Scotland and England.
The event, “What’s God Got to Do With It? Feminism, Religion and the State”, will be 'tweetcast' live (see below for details). The lecture and tour, which has also taken in seminars in Stirling and Aberdeen, takes place at the distinguished Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, Covent Garden, London, at 19:00. It is sponsored by the University of Stirling Critical Religion Research Group and the religion and society think tank Ekklesia.
Simon Barrow, co-director of Ekklesia, will chair the meeting and there will be a welcome from Louise Polhill from Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.
A link to a map of the venue is available on the Critical Religion website: http://www.criticalreligion.stir.ac.uk/events/april-2012-naomi-goldenber... The event is free, and all are most welcome.
Following the lecture online
Michael Marten writes: If you are unable to come to the lecture but wish to follow it, you can do so using Twitter - whether you have a Twitter account or not. We will be live-tweeting the lecture.
If you have a Twitter account: follow us and our partner organisation, Ekklesia, to receive updates: @StirCritRel and @simonbarrow. The hashtags we will be using are: #womenreligion and #statereligion.
If you do not have a Twitter account and do not wish to open one, you can still follow the lecture, though it is slightly more cumbersome to do so. Clicking (and as necessary, reloading) these links will show the messages:
