The Faraday Institute has launched a new smartphone app to make its educational resources on religion and science available to a global community.
Based at St Edmund's College, Cambridge, the Faraday Institute is widely regarded as playing a leading role in intelligent debate on science and religion.
Its news, updates, research and interviews "will now be even easier to access," a spokesperson told Ekklesia.
Currently available on Android platform-handsets and iPhones, the app features the best of the Institute's online content - such as its daily newsfeed, an event calendar, YouTube clips, and staff contact information.
The app has been developed by Mickey & Mallory, a creative agency that specialises in collaborative design and knowledge marketing.
The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion seeks to provide accurate and up-to-date information to help inform and improve public understanding of the interaction between science and religion.
It makes academic research accessible to the public through close links with a network of experts from diverse disciplines including astrophysics, geology neuroscience, genetics, evolutionary biology, theology and history and philosophy of science.
