Update: Ekklesia's bulletins returning in a new form
After a gap of three-and-a-half months, due to significant structural reorganisation and staff changes, we are pleased to report that Ekklesia's bulletins are making a return a in a new form.
From 26 September 2014 subscribers have been receiving the first of several standard 'daily email' bulletins to announce that we are back, and to cover some significant national and international events.
From next week our research and policy based bulletin, 'Thinking for a Change', will start up again, on a fortnightly basis.
This Friday (3rd October 2014) there will be the first of what will be a weekly news summary bulletin, replacing the daily one.
However, for those who still want their 'daily fix' there is a new route for that – the freshly launched Ekklesia community page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ekklesiathinktank) which, along with our revamped twitter feed (https://twitter.com/Ekklesia_co_uk), will contain every news brief, blog, article, report, feature and statement going up on the website as it is published - around three to five items a day, sometimes more.
It is also possible to subscribe to our RSS feeds, of course (http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/about/thissite). There is, in addition, a dedicated discussion area at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ekklesiathinktank/ which is open to all.
Then Ekklesia partners, who support us financially and in other ways, will get their own, monthly 'inside track' newsletter, informing and consulting them about our work. Details here: http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/content/services/partner.shtml
We hope this package will give you a good and improved overall service. We have though long and hard about whether to maintain the daily bulletin in its current form. The difficulty is that it takes 14-18 hours a week to prepare for our part-time staff, and while we have over 6,000 subscribers, the number who make more than a small amount of use of it is much smaller.
With our new bulletin service we aim to give more people a more economical service, while offering social media and RSS routes for those who need daily or hourly updates.
Lastly, though we will continue to keep our main services free of charge, we greatly appreciate contributions to help us grow and develop. You can do this via PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr
