We are delighed at the response to Savitri Hensman's 2016 Ekklesia book Sexuality, Struggle and Saintliness: Same-Sex Love and the Church (http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/22613), which is being featured today at the Greenbelt Festival 2016. If you haven't seen or bought a copy yet, please check it out.

Here are some of the reactions and reviews we have reveived so far:

"At this point in the life of the Anglican Communion, it might well be thought that all that could be said on the subject of sexuality (particularly same-sexuality, especially in relation to ordination and marriage) had been said, many times over. However, Savitri Hensman's clear and helpful book does not merely repeat some of what has been said; she offers both new insights, and highlights forgotten or reflections neglected from the past." - Tobias Stanislas Haller BSG, Anglican Theological Review.

"Seeking to address a broad readership with diverse views, Hensman maps the terrain that has been travelled in recent decades and provides food for the journey as the Church universal continues to wrestle the issues. Throughout, she exhibits her roots in scripture and tradition whilst aiming to reach the broad place where people may disagree respectfully within the bond of Christian unity." - Carla Grosch-Miller, Reform magazine.

"The book offers challenging titles such as ‘Christians divided as Parliament debates equal marriage’, a chapter which argues that ‘separate is not equal’ in its exegesis of the Same-sex Couples Marriage Bill’s passage through Parliament; and ‘Church views on sexuality: recovering the middle ground’... [Hensman] argues that a helpful approach moving forward would be for church leaders to open up about their differences whilst acknowledging the common ground in the middle." - Jo May, Church of England Newspaper.
