Abstract

In this paper we consider the context and aftermath of the 2019 General Election, offering some short and long term guidelines.

'The 2019 General Election and Beyond' reiterates the ten values-in-use which Ekklesia first set out for the Westminster election back in 2015 ('Taking a stand'); considerations and principles involved in choosing who to vote for; headline policy proposals gleaned from some of our contributors; the need to repair democracy; groundwork for reinvesting an ethics of civic engagement, and the relevance to all this of #SmallActsOfHope.
