The introduction of compulsory body cameras will do nothing to protect people from rule-breaking bailiffs while the industry is not regulated, Citizens Advice has said.
The regulator found the charity repeatedly fell below standards expected, had a culture of tolerating poor behaviour, and concludes that it failed to meet promises made on safeguarding, ultimately letting everyone down.
A report from the Justice Committee says the government should introduce new regulation for the bailiff industry to ensure that people in debt are treated fairly.
