Southern Africa’s water source and crops are under serious pressure as a long dry spell and high temperatures have taken hold in the region, the UN agriculture agency has warned, saying that after record maize production in 2017, food shortages are set to worsen this year. 

Delegates from churches in Zimbabwe, South Africa and other countries in the Southern Africa Development Community have expressed clear support for targeted sanctions against Zimbabwe.
