Shackling people with mental health conditions is a widespread brutal practice that is an open secret in many communities, Human Rights Watch says in a new report.

An algorithm designed by government to set how many new homes need to be built in local areas will lead to a housing boom in the south while swathes of the north will see fewer homes built, councils warn.

The guidance advises faith leaders and communities on how to practice faith safely, fight misinformation, and support children and vulnerable populations.

The ruling is a win for the rule of law, the environment, and border communities, said Dror Ladin of the American Civil Liberties Union.
