The Children’s Society has secured £2.1 million of National Lottery funding to tackle child exploitation in three UK hubs.

The Local Government Association has warned that nearly half of all bus routes in England currently receive partial or complete subsidies from councils and are under threat.

A third of councils have seen care providers close or cease to trade in the last six months.

The UK has been the fifth largest recipient of funding from the European Investment Bank and the government must set out how it will make equivalent lending arrangements after Brexit, says  the Local Government Association.
