TODAY: Assisted dying and living: a better conversation (Thurs 2 Feb)
The debate about assisted dying and assisted living can be fractious and complex. We believe that a better conversation can be had: one built on deep human empathy and compassion.
On Thursday 2 February, at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church in London's Shaftesbury Avenue, starting at 7pm, people on all sides of the issue (people of good faith, whether religious or not) are invited to talk and share together.
Our discussion panel is: Rabbi Jonathan Romain (Maidenhead Synagogue, Movement for Reform Judiasm), Rev Simon Woodman (Bloomsbury baptist Church), Savi Hensman (social care, Ekklesia associate and author) and Juliet Marlow (Disabled People Against Cuts). The chair is: Simon Barrow, director of Ekklesia.
The event is free, and full details including a map, are on the EventBrite page for the meeting, which is part of our Creative Conversations series, to be found here. It would help if you could register to let us know if you are coming, but you will be able to get in on the night.
There is also a Facebook page for this conversation here. Please share the information and encourage friends and contacts in the London area to come along.
