The forthcoming Methodist Conference in Britain will consider climate change, young people and leadership and ethical patterns of investment when it gathers in Wolverhampton in July.
The Conference - the annual decision-making and mobilising body of British Methodism - will also welcome its new President, the Rev David Gamble, and Vice-President, Dr Richard Vautrey, at the start of their year in office.
More than 300 representatives from across the Methodist Church will gather at the Civic Hall of the English Midlands town from 2 to 9 July 2009. There will also be hundreds of visitors, stalls and fringe meetings.
New Methodist ministers will be ordained in a two-part ceremony and then at services across the region.
The ceremonial swearing-in the of President and Vice-President will open the main Conference on the afternoon of 4 July.
The Conference is the governing body of the Methodist Church and its organisers describe it as a "festival of celebration, worship and friendship".
