Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders of the National Interreligious Leadership Initiative in the US have met with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, R. Nicholas Burns raising specific concerns related to the Annapolis peace conference and follow-up efforts.
The new Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori, is numbered among 34 Christian, Jewish and Muslim leaders who have written to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice asking for a meeting with her to discuss the "urgent situation in the Middle East".
