Ahead of the renewal of emergency measures introduced under the Coronavirus Act in March, solicitors' leaders have warned that measures aimed aimed at tackling the coronavirus crisis hav disproportionately affected some of the motst vulnerable in society.
Some disabled people are losing social care services which support them in their day to day lives, as Care Act rights were suspended by the government's Coronavirus Act.
The new Care Act easements mean that the duty of local authorities to carry out full needs assessments of unpaid carers, and those needing care, does not apply.
