Forty-seven faith institutions from 21 countries, including nine institutions from the UK, have announced their divestment from fossil fuels as a practical response to the climate emergency. The commitments highlight need for governments to increase ambition on climate action, says Operation Noah.

The leaders also commit to the goals of the Laudato Si encyclical - an initiative of Pope Francis - to advocate for and model positive initiatives to continue to tackle the Climate Emergency.
