Campaigners have written to International Trade Secretary Liam Fox reiterating calls to suspend UK arms sales to the Saudi Arabia-led military coalition operating in Yemen.
Yemeni civilians are struggling to stay alive amid fierce ground and air attacks in the raging battle to retake western coastal governorates from the Huthi armed group, said Amnesty International.
With an estimated 7,000 migrants entering Yemen each month, most of them seeking to reach Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, the United Nations migration agency has called for greater efforts to protect them from smugglers and other criminals.
Campaign Against Arms Trade granted permission to appeal against a High Court judgment which allows UK to continue to export arms to Saudi Arabia for use in Yemen.
