An annual festival promoting issues around social justice has this year chosen to support CrossReach, which is the operating name for the Church of Scotland's Social Care Council which is celebrating its 150th anniversary throughout 2019.
Just Festivals have joined forces with Swiss Church, St Giles In The Fields, St George’s Bloomsbury and Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church to host Just Festival On The Edge from 20 to 25 May 2015.
Our friends at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church have informed us that "A Sacred Talk with Adrian Plass age 65 1/2…ish" on Wednesday 10th December 2014 has unfortunately had to be CANCELLED, due to Adrian being unwell. We wish him a speedy recovery!
Just Festival and its predecessor, the Festival of Spirituality and Peace, has been concerned over the years to strike up a genuine personal, artistic, spiritual and cultural conversation among the different religions and beliefs that make up our country.
Change is about structures, policies and politics, for sure. As a thinktank looking specifically at how belief and values can impact the arena of hard choices, we are the first to recognise that.
Those of us who live permanently in Edinburgh will be looking forward to getting our city back in the near future... though the friendly festival invasion undoubtedly brings life, colour, enjoyment, variety and friendship to the streets - and we very much hope that spirit is here to stay, both in the Athens of the North (as we like to style ourselves) and in the hearts and lives of all who have taken part.
